It has been a whirlwind last few months around here. Listing new jewelry items for the holidays, managing the holiday rush of orders, unplanned rescue puppy the week before Christmas (yes, Piper thought it was a true Christmas miracle!), intensive training with said new pup so he can cohabitate with the cats (work in progress), new jewelry collection design and prep, the list goes on…
I had planned on heading to the gym after work and getting in a quick workout, but it was just that kind of day. The kind of day where you know you should take some time for yourself, and not the rush-to-the-gym-rush-home-make-dinner-get-the-kid-to-bed kind of time for yourself. Part of me felt guilty not working out like I had planned, but the little all-knowing voice in my head was telling me otherwise. So I headed home, powered through some work emails that I hadn’t even looked at today and then took some ‘me' time. Two cups of baking soda and 6 drops of Young Living Release blend essential oils later, I was relaxing in a quite bath. Yes, there was a scruffy haired puppy staring at me the whole time pondering if he should test the waters or not, but otherwise it was a nice time out for my busy little mind. Did I mention that all that baking soda is super grounding - turns out grandma knew what she was talking about after all!
Grounding Bath Soak:
2 cups of baking soda
5-6 drops Release essential oil blend
Run a hot bath and mix around your baking soda and oil. Soak for at least 15-20 minutes. The baking soda grounds you while the essential oils promote harmony and balance in the mind and body.
